In 1997 Chicago web designer John Bowles decided to start producing websites for local area businesses while in college. Now, over 10 years later South Shore Design has taken on over 100 site designs for businesses, musicians, and multiple projects in multi-media technologies.

Some of these websites have received media attention for their innovative design and content in regional and national publications, newspapers, and web blogs.
